Create a larger copy without mistaking estimates for facts

Choose one still JPG, PNG, or WebP image and review its original and expected output dimensions before starting. Animated PNG and WebP files are rejected because selecting a playback frame would make the result unpredictable. The tool creates a two-times enlargement, so a 640 by 480 source becomes 1280 by 960. The first run loads about 0.9 MB of enhancement weights from NexaCurrent, then the image is divided into small overlapping areas and processed on your device. Progress shows how much of the image has finished, and Cancel leaves the source available if the run takes too long.

Use Original and Enhanced to compare the same composition rather than judging the larger result alone. Look at edges, faces, lettering, repeated patterns, and fine texture at full size. The downloaded PNG is a new file, the original is never overwritten, and transparency from a PNG or WebP source is carried into the enlarged copy. Clear result removes only the generated preview, while Reset removes the current source and returns the workspace to its starting state.

Know when enhancement helps and when it can mislead

Enhancement is useful when a small illustration, thumbnail, profile image, older web graphic, or presentation asset needs smoother enlarged edges. Clean sources with visible structure usually give the most convincing result. Heavy blur, severe JPEG blocks, tiny lettering, distant faces, and patterns smaller than a source pixel give the tool too little evidence. It may make those areas look more polished, but a polished estimate is not recovered information.

Never use generated detail to read an unreadable plate, identify a person, reconstruct a document, interpret medical or scientific evidence, or support a factual claim. Check names and text especially carefully because plausible-looking letter shapes can still be wrong. If exact pixels matter, obtain the original camera file, design export, scan, or source document. If only a larger layout placeholder is needed, the regular Image Resizer is faster and does not suggest that new visual detail has been added.

Private processing and practical browser limits

The selected image, decoded pixels, progress tiles, comparison, and result remain in the current browser tab. NexaCurrent serves the fixed model files, but your image is not uploaded for processing or attached to an account. Temporary image URLs are released when a source or result is replaced, the workspace is reset, or the page closes. Only one image runs at a time so an older or cancelled task cannot overwrite the current result.

Sources are limited to 15 MB, 1.5 megapixels, and 4,096 pixels on either side. A two-times result contains four times as many pixels, and the browser also needs working memory for decoded input, overlapping tiles, model tensors, alpha preservation, preview, and PNG encoding. A device may still run slowly or stop when other memory-heavy tabs are open. The tool does not provide four-times output, batch processing, print color management, forensic restoration, or a guarantee that every texture improves. Keep the source and inspect the downloaded copy in its real destination before publishing.
