Build an original meme from editable layers
Start with your own JPG, PNG, or WebP background, or keep the solid color canvas for a text-first graphic. Two caption layers provide a quick starting point. Add more text or import image layers, select any layer from the list, and drag the selected item directly on the canvas. Text controls change the caption, size, fill color, outline, rotation, and opacity. Image layers have independent size, rotation, opacity, and position controls.
Line breaks in a caption are preserved, which makes stacked text easier to balance. A dark outline keeps light text legible over a busy photo, while a light outline can separate dark text from shadowed areas. Rotation and transparency work best as small accents rather than fixes for unreadable placement. Undo and redo let you compare recent changes, and resetting the layers restores the two starter captions without replacing the chosen background.
Make the joke readable before adding decoration
A useful meme usually communicates one setup and one turn. Write short captions, keep important faces and objects visible, and check the composition at a smaller size before downloading. Place the first line where a viewer naturally starts reading and give the final line enough contrast to land immediately. Imported image layers can add a reaction, arrow, badge, or visual comparison, but each extra element competes with the main idea.
The generator does not copy another site’s template catalog, stickers, captions, fonts, or brand assets. Use images you created or have permission to adapt, and avoid presenting a real person’s words or identity deceptively. Public-domain and openly licensed material can have attribution or reuse conditions, so check the source license before publishing. A funny private draft can still be harmful when shared without context or consent.
Private composition and export limits
The background, captions, imported layers, and rendered result stay in the current browser tab. Files are not uploaded to NexaCurrent or saved to an account. The download is a flattened PNG: it looks like the canvas, but its text and image layers are no longer separately editable. Keep the tab open until you have checked the downloaded copy, and retain source files if you may need to rebuild the composition later.
The canvas is limited to a practical browser size and large backgrounds are scaled for composition. That protects memory and creates a shareable result, but it is not a print-layout or layered design-document format. Font appearance depends on the fonts available in the browser, emoji rendering can vary by device, and another platform may recompress the PNG. Inspect names, text, cropping, rights, and sensitive details before publishing.
