Three placements instead of a compatibility score
This page calculates the Descendant, Venus, and Mars from one person’s birth details. The Descendant is exactly opposite the tropical Ascendant and therefore requires exact time, latitude, longitude, and time-zone conversion. Venus and Mars use geocentric true-ecliptic longitudes from Astronomy Engine. All three degrees remain visible rather than collapsing them into an unsupported match percentage.
The tool does not request a second person’s data because it is not performing synastry. It describes symbols often discussed when people explore relationship preferences: the western horizon angle, attraction and relating, and assertion or desire. A complete synastry practice would compare two full charts and many aspects, but that complexity still would not create scientific proof of compatibility.
Accurate time matters most for the Descendant
Venus and Mars usually remain in one sign long enough that modest clock errors do not change their sign, although retrograde motion and boundaries matter. The Descendant moves with Earth’s rotation and can change quickly. If birth time is unknown, the page cannot responsibly infer this angle from appearance, relationship history, or a preferred sign description.
The IANA time zone applies historical daylight-saving rules, while manual coordinates keep birthplace searches out of a third-party service. Verify west longitudes as negative and east longitudes as positive. A tropical calculator can differ from a sidereal one, and a rounded sign-only source can conceal a placement close to the next sign.
No chart can identify an ideal person
Relationship symbolism can help someone articulate preferences, tensions, or questions, but it cannot identify a destined partner or guarantee safety and satisfaction. Compatibility depends on behavior, communication, consent, values, circumstances, and the willingness to handle conflict. A sign should never be used to excuse abuse, stereotype a group, or reject direct evidence about a person.
All birth details remain in the browser and no matching profile is stored. Use the result for cultural exploration or to verify natal placements. Do not use it to pressure another person, replace counseling, determine sexual consent, or make legal and financial commitments. The absence of a score is deliberate: false precision would make an interpretive system look like validated assessment.
