What this tool does
Keep or remove lines that contain, start with, or end with a literal search phrase. Use Line Filter Tool when pasted notes, exported rows, copied values, or draft text need one clear change before they move into another document. It belongs to the Analyze & Clean collection, and the related links at the end of the page cover useful next steps without mixing them into this result.
The workspace puts the source controls and the read-only result in separate panels so the transformed text is easy to compare. Every action button names the exact change it will make. Changing the source or an option immediately removes the previous result, which prevents an older answer from appearing to match newer settings.
Method and privacy
Each source line is tested independently and blank lines remain part of the document. The phrase is literal rather than a hidden pattern: punctuation and spaces have their ordinary visible meaning. You can keep or remove lines when the phrase appears anywhere, at the beginning, or at the end; the original order of every retained line remains unchanged.
Your working text stays in this browser tab and is not added to an account, page address, or public history. The page does not send ordinary tool input to NexaCurrent. Leaving, refreshing, or closing the page clears the normal workspace, so copy any result you want to keep before navigating away.
How to use Line Filter Tool
Paste the lines, enter one single-line literal phrase, decide whether letter case matters, and choose whether to keep or remove matching rows. Use the start or end actions when position matters. The summary shows how many source lines remain, including a retained blank line that has no visible characters.
Run one action and read the short result summary before copying. Copy result confirms success on the button; if browser permission is denied, the result remains visible so you can select it manually. Clear result removes the output and its previous status without changing the source. Reset restores the starting options, empties the source fields, and confirms that the workspace was reset.
Validation and troubleshooting
The literal search phrase is required, limited to 500 characters, and cannot contain a line break because every source line is checked independently. Letter-case choice applies to contains, starts-with, and ends-with actions. When a keep action finds no match, the summary reports zero kept lines. A single retained blank line is counted explicitly but has no visible text to copy.
After each run, compare the action name, short summary, and read-only result with the source. Changing any source field or option clears the previous answer. If a later action fails, its error also leaves the result empty, so an older successful value cannot be mistaken for the current outcome.
Limits and responsible use
These tools operate on visible lines and characters, not the layout rules of Word, PDF, HTML, or a typesetting application. A displayed line can wrap differently after pasting elsewhere. Keep the source and verify headings, blank lines, code blocks, and long links in the destination.
Keep an unchanged copy of important source text. Do not use a convenience transformation as the only review for legal names, quotations, financial records, medical information, credentials, or publishing data. When exact characters or layout matter, compare the final pasted version in its destination before deleting the original.
