Lenovo launches ThinkCentre Neo 50q Gen 7 internationally
Lenovo has begun selling its new ThinkCentre Neo 50q Gen 7 mini-PC outside China, with retail listings now live in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore. The 1-liter desktop succeeds the Lunar Lake-based ThinkCentre Neo 50q Gen 6 Tiny and pairs Intel's Wildcat Lake processors with up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 SODIMM memory and dual M.2 2280 SSD slots. At the time of publication, North American listings were not yet active, while European and Australian retail pages still described the system as "coming soon."
Hardware configuration and pricing
The ThinkCentre Neo 50q Gen 7 is offered with either the Core 5 320 or Core 7 350 processor, 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB of DDR5-5600 SODIMM RAM, and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage split across the two M.2 slots. Connectivity options span Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.1 or Bluetooth 5.4 via one of four modems, with Gigabit Ethernet, DisplayPort 1.4b, HDMI 2.1 (TMDS), USB Type-A, USB Type-C and a configurable port as standard. Lenovo quoted entry-level prices of HKD 8,108, JPY 136,400, KRW 1,608,034, MYR 4,241 and SGD 1,352 in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore respectively, with the base configuration pairing a Core 5 320 with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Reference benchmark data cited in coverage places the Core 5 320 and Core 7 350 within roughly 8% of each other in performance.
Form factor and accessories
Measuring 240 x 250 x 186 mm, the ThinkCentre Neo 50q Gen 7 is offered with a vertical stand and a VESA mount. Lenovo lists the mini-PC in a single finish and positions the design as a compact successor to the previous generation's Tiny form factor.
Other Intel Wildcat Lake launches in Asia
Separately, Asus and Chuwi have introduced Wildcat Lake laptops in China targeting Apple's MacBook Neo. Chuwi's UniBook uses the entry-level Intel Core 3 304 with 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 256 GB PCIe 3.0 SSD, alongside a 14-inch 1920x1200 display and a starting price near $449, while Asus unveiled a 16-inch model featuring a 144 Hz panel priced around $734.
