Industry forecasts published on July 21, 2026 project Steve Lacy's "Oh yeah?" to debut at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 with 34,000 first-week units, according to Ratings Game Music. The opening-week figure is nearly identical to the performance of his previous album Gemini Rights, which debuted with 35,000 units before climbing to No. 7 on the same chart.

Featured Collaborators and the Album's Sonic Direction

"Oh yeah?" blends indie rock, alternative, and R&B influences, with standout tracks including "is it cool?" featuring SZA, "the feeling," and "doom." The project also includes contributions from Erykah Badu, Cecile Believe, and Tyler, The Creator. Ratings Game Music described the album as combining "lush production, emotionally intelligent songwriting, and effortlessly smooth vocal performances."

Lacy's Track Record with Gemini Rights

Lacy's 2022 release Gemini Rights eventually earned Platinum certification and won the Grammy for Best Progressive R&B Album, providing a precedent for "Oh yeah?" to grow beyond its initial debut numbers. Ratings Game Music framed the new album as another potential "defining chapter" regardless of its opening-week chart position.

Nat Luna Returns with "DIVA"

Adelaide-based R&B-pop artist Nat Luna released "DIVA" on July 22, 2026, her first single of the year, according to The Note. The track, which carries an early-2000s feel and draws on influences from Ariana Grande, Kehlani, and FLO, finds Luna reflecting on "an old flame who tries to hit her up after seeing how well she is doing." Luna said in a statement that she wanted to show "girlhood" in the release, adding that the visuals were filmed in a salon she and her team built for the shoot.

Luna's 2025 debut EP "ultraviolet" recorded more than 100,000 streams in its first week, and she has received support from Spotify, Apple Music, and triple j Unearthed, where she was selected as a Feature Artist.
