The Library's August programming lands during a period of wider American visibility for K-pop. According to prior-day coverage, Rei Ami, who is associated with Netflix's "KPop Demon Hunters," appeared on Discovery's Shark Week alongside comedian Ken Jeong, and K-pop group NewJeans signaled a possible comeback following a months-long dispute with its label.
