Toronto FC General Manager Jason Hernandez called Morgan "an impactful attacker in the Eastern Conference over the past several seasons" and highlighted "his flexibility to play across multiple positions in the attack." Morgan recorded three assists in 18 combined appearances for San Diego FC during the 2026 season, including his club debut against Sporting Kansas City on March 7. Before joining San Diego, he spent four seasons with Red Bull New York, registering 31 goals and 10 assists in 82 combined appearances, and was named the 2024 MLS Comeback Player of the Year after a 13-goal, seven-assist campaign that helped RBNY reach the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Morgan began his professional career at St. Mirren, where he signed his first contract in September 2013 and recorded 29 goals and 23 assists in 118 combined appearances across four seasons. He joined Celtic FC in January 2018, registering two goals and three assists in 31 combined appearances over two campaigns, with a 2018-19 loan to Sunderland AFC in which he tallied two goals and four assists. He signed with Inter Miami CF in January 2020 as part of the club's inaugural roster, made his MLS debut against Los Angeles FC on March 1, 2020, and scored his first league goal against Atlanta United FC on September 9, 2020, before being traded permanently to Red Bull New York in December 2021.

Scotland international resume

Morgan has earned seven caps for the Scottish Men's National Team, including appearances at UEFA Euro 2024 and the 2024-2025 UEFA Nations League. He made his senior international debut in a friendly against Peru on May 29, 2018, after progressing through the Scotland U-21 setup and the Rangers FC youth ranks before turning professional with St. Mirren at age 17.
