Meshy raises nearly $400M at $1.5B valuation

Generative AI 3D platform Meshy closed a Series B of nearly $400 million at a $1.5 billion valuation, described as the largest funding round raised by a company built specifically for AI 3D generation and the company's first publicly disclosed valuation. All existing investors participated alongside new global backers, with proceeds earmarked primarily for research and development and international expansion. As of July 2026, Meshy reported annual recurring revenue growing roughly 12x year over year, more than 12 million registered users, and over 100 million models created.

Alongside the funding, Meshy announced four product releases, three of them live at the time of the announcement. The flagship is Meshy 3D Agent, described as an AI agent for 3D creation that turns a conversation, text line, photo or sketch into a print-ready model exported as FBX, OBJ, GLB or STL, with a claimed slicer success rate of up to 97% for 3D printing and Unity, Unreal and Blender compatibility. Auto Split performs one-click segmentation of generated models into printable, reassemblable watertight parts with surfaces repaired and seams placed along concealed boundaries. Smart Topology generates native clean geometry in about ten seconds with polygon counts controllable between 100 and 15,000, while an 8K Texture upgrade is rolling out soon.

Meshy said teams at five of the world's ten largest technology companies by market capitalisation or valuation are building with its tools, naming customers and partners including Nexon, NetEase Games, 37 Interactive Entertainment, Bambu Lab, Creality, Elegoo, FlashForge, xTool, Hugo Boss and Sweden's museum of art and design. The company has embedded its generation engine into Bambu Lab's MakerWorld via the MakerLab hub and connected to Formlabs' Form Now print-on-demand service, which debuted at RAPID + TCT 2026 in Boston and was described as the first AI generation pipeline linked end to end to professional-grade manufacturing.

Kalogon launches Verro 3D printed wheelchair cushion line

Florida-based medical seating company Kalogon launched Verro, a Medicare-coded custom wheelchair cushion line for users with significant postural support needs, including windswept posture, pelvic obliquity, or asymmetry. The line is available in two models: Verro Lattice, built from a 3D printed variable-density elastomer lattice, and Verro Foam, a dual-density foam construction. The lattice structure varies firmness across the cushion surface, providing more support where the body needs to be held in position and more give where pressure must be relieved, while letting air move through for temperature and moisture management.

The Verro lattice is hydrophobic and weighs up to two pounds less than comparable average cushions, can be washed on the top rack of a dishwasher, and ships with a vapor-permeable outer cover, with an incontinence liner available as an add-on. All cushions are built from a capture of the user's body ordered through Launch Pad, Kalogon's real-time configurator, which accepts either a 3D scan taken from a physical mold of the seated user or measurements entered directly. Kalogon said it ships orders within 14 days of receipt regardless of input method, and manufactures all cushions at its Melbourne, Florida facility. Kalogon founder and CEO Tim Balz said the company developed the technology after clinicians reported that their most complex patients were falling through the cracks of existing cushion options.

NMSU opens DREAM Research Center to demystify 3D printing

New Mexico State University has begun work at the DREAM Research Center to demystify 3D printing processes for students, researchers and industry partners. The center is positioned as a hub for applied 3D printing research, with the goal of making additive manufacturing technologies more accessible and better understood beyond specialist communities.
