A loving couple shares a tender kiss amidst lush greenery in a sunlit garden setting.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G in India as the newest addition to its Galaxy F-series, joining the Galaxy F70e 5G that debuted in February. The device starts at ₹25,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, with the 8GB + 128GB model priced at ₹29,999 and the 8GB + 256GB version at ₹34,999. Launch offers bring the effective starting price down to ₹23,999. The phone will be sold through the Samsung India online store and Flipkart in Alpha Black and Aura Green color options, with sales scheduled to begin on August 8.

Display and Performance

The Galaxy F70 Pro 5G runs Android 16-based One UI 8.5 and carries a promise of six years of Android OS upgrades alongside six years of security updates. It features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Powering the device is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Camera Setup

The smartphone carries a triple rear camera system headlined by a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. A 12MP front-facing camera with HDR support handles selfies and video calls. Samsung has included 13 built-in shooting modes, 4K video recording with No Shake Cam, and AI-powered editing tools such as Object Eraser and My Filter. Galaxy AI features on the device include Circle to Search, Gemini voice assistant, AI Voice Transcription, Direct Voicemail, and Now Bar.

Battery and Charging

A 6,000mAh battery backs the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G, supported by 45W wired fast charging. Samsung claims the phone can deliver over 24 hours of YouTube video streaming, more than eight hours of gaming, or up to 12 hours of social media browsing on a single charge.

Comparison with the Galaxy F70e

The Galaxy F70 Pro steps up from the Galaxy F70e on several fronts. It swaps the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 for the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, expands battery capacity from 5,000mAh to 6,000mAh, and doubles wired charging speed from 25W to 45W. The rear camera gains a 5MP ultra-wide sensor alongside the existing 50MP and 2MP lenses. Software support extends to six years of OS upgrades plus six years of security updates, compared with up to four OS upgrades on the F70e, and maximum storage rises to 256GB UFS 3.1 from 128GB.

Software Support as a Differentiator

Samsung is positioning long-term software support as a central selling point in the mid-range segment. The six-year update window is intended to extend the device's usable lifespan and sharpen its appeal against competing offerings in the ₹30,000–₹35,000 bracket in India.
