Mapping a birth name to the Pythagorean table
Expression Number, also called Destiny Number, uses all Latin letters in the full name recorded at birth. The Pythagorean table cycles A through I across values 1 through 9, then repeats with J through R and S through Z. Each name part is totaled and reduced before the reduced part values are combined under the selected master-number convention.
The audit prints every included letter and value. That makes differences traceable to an input, spelling, transliteration, name-part rule, or master-number choice. Some systems total every letter in one uninterrupted sum; this page follows the reviewed part-by-part method. Neither method should be silently substituted for the other when results are compared.
Names, accents, punctuation, and scripts
Diacritics are normalized to the underlying Latin character: for example, É is calculated as E. Spaces, apostrophes, periods, and hyphens can divide or structure parts without receiving a value. Other unsupported characters are listed in the audit. This prevents the software from discarding data invisibly or inventing a transliteration the person did not choose.
Changing a legal name, using a nickname, or removing a middle name changes the arithmetic because it changes the input. Traditional readings often specify the complete birth name for Expression and use current names for separate questions. The form is labeled accordingly. It does not search public records or verify that the entered text is a person’s official name.
Reading an Expression Number responsibly
Expression meanings describe broad ideas about how talents or capacities might be expressed. They are not a validated test of aptitude, personality, professional fit, or future achievement. The same final value can be produced by many letter patterns, which is why the visible name-part totals contain more methodological information than a single large result card.
The name stays entirely in the browser and is not stored. Use a demonstration name when learning the table, and avoid entering another person’s identifying data without consent. The number should not guide hiring, education placement, medical decisions, lending, or relationship judgment.
