Positions turn three images into a structure
Three random cards do not automatically form a story. The spread position gives each image a job before the draw occurs. Past–Present–Possible Direction separates background from current conditions and avoids calling the third card a guaranteed future. Situation–Tension–Helpful Action is useful when a problem needs a practical response. Mind–Feeling–Practical Reality compares different layers of the same question without declaring one layer superior. Choosing the structure first reduces hindsight and keeps the reading from changing rules after the cards are visible. The tool draws three unique cards locally, optionally reverses them, and prints the position label beside each meaning so the interpretive method can be inspected.
Read relationships before memorized definitions
Begin by describing direction, repetition, contrast, people, objects, and suit patterns across the row. Then ask how the first position changes the second and what the third position could do with that tension. Several Major Arcana cards may suggest that the question is being framed broadly; several cards from one suit may concentrate attention on action, emotion, thought, or material conditions. None of those patterns proves that the deck detected an external force. They are ways of organizing visual material. A coherent reading should be expressible in one ordinary sentence and should leave room for an alternative interpretation when the question, spread, or evidence changes.
Do not turn the final position into certainty
The third card is labeled a possible direction or helpful action because future outcomes depend on choices, other people, institutions, chance, and facts unavailable to the deck. Repeating a spread until the desired card appears replaces reflection with selection bias. Save a private note if useful, wait for new evidence, and redraw only when the situation or question has materially changed. Do not use the spread to make emergency, health, safety, legal, employment, immigration, financial, or relationship decisions on its own. The browser does not store the entered question or result. Reloading begins a new session, and no public result page is created from a private draw.
