Bristol Motel in Upper Hutt: Garden Calm in Trentham

A Quiet Garden Pocket in Trentham

Bristol Motel sits tucked into a private garden setting in Trentham, a leafy pocket of Upper Hutt where the pace slows and the surrounds turn green. The property is addressed at 8 Bristol Street, Trentham, Upper Hutt 5018, New Zealand, and the mood matches the postcode: residential, low-key, and refreshingly removed from the city's busier corridors.

Where to Find It

The address points to a calm stretch of Trentham, just off the main road. That balance is part of the draw, far enough for a peaceful night yet close enough that Upper Hutt's major attractions sit within easy reach. Mapped nearby places give a sense of the local food scene without straying into the city centre: The Furnace around 711 m, Bell House around 963 m, Sugar & Spice Cafe around 1238 m, Yatra Indian Restaurant around 1266 m, Grounds Cafe around 1295 m, and The Fig Tree around 1396 m. These straight-line distances frame the neighbourhood rather than acting as endorsements or walking-time promises.

The Garden Setting and Hospitality

The property leans into its setting. Garden surrounds wrap around the motel, and the hosts Barry and Helen are named on the property's own description as the people greeting guests. It's the kind of place where the welcome reads more like a visit to family friends than a transaction, with a quiet outdoor atmosphere shaping the stay.

The Rooms

The room philosophy is comfort without complication. Simple, clean, comfortable rooms come with the essentials covered, so the focus stays on rest rather than room acrobatics. The exact room count and layout sit outside the verified record, so the appeal is best summed up by what the property itself highlights: tidy, well-kept spaces designed for an easy night in Trentham.

Getting in Touch

The property's website describes a contact form that visitors can fill out for the team to respond to, framed as a direct line to the hosts rather than a booking engine. Function and maintenance of that channel sit outside the verified evidence, so it is best treated as a way to reach out rather than a guarantee of any specific reply window.

Practical Considerations

Mutable details such as host availability, room configurations, and on-site offerings may change over time, so checking directly remains a good habit before planning a stay. Star ratings, formal classifications, and price points are not part of the verified record, and are intentionally left out of this profile.
