Apple's second-generation AirTag tracker, launched in January 2026, is now being sold at a record-low bundled price at multiple major US retailers. The four-pack is available at $89 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart, with Target pricing the same bundle at $89.99, according to deal coverage published on August 18. This represents a $10 markdown against the manufacturer's suggested retail price and coincides with a broader round of price increases across Apple's hardware lineup, including the budget-focused MacBook Neo.

Discount applies to single units as well

The single-unit AirTag 2 is also reduced, with Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart each listing the tracker at $24, $5 below MSRP. Target is the outlier among the four retailers, pricing the single unit at $24.99. Both outlets covering the deal frame the pricing as the lowest publicly tracked point for the second-generation tracker since its January release.

Notable hardware carried over from the launch

The discounted tracker incorporates a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip used in the iPhone 17 series, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch Series 11, enabling Precision Finding from up to 50% farther away than the first generation, per Apple's product description cited in the deal coverage. Apple also equipped the AirTag 2 with a 50% louder chime than its predecessor and an upgraded Bluetooth chip that extends locating range. The device continues to run on a user-replaceable CR2032 lithium coin battery, removing the need for a manufacturer-serviced replacement.

Other developments

Separately, a leak reported the same day suggests that tvOS 27 will add Siri AI capabilities to Apple TV 4K, features that were not included when Siri AI was unveiled for other Apple platforms in June.
