Renewals across MTV and Paramount+
MTV has renewed RuPaul's Drag Race for a 19th season, while Paramount+ has greenlit additional seasons of the All Stars spinoff and the Untucked aftershow. The renewals were reported on August 15, 2026, and cover RuPaul's Drag Race, RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked, RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars and RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: Untucked. All four programs are produced by World of Wonder Productions.
Season 18 viewership and ratings
The flagship's 18th season delivered double-digit growth over the previous season and set a new franchise premiere viewership record. Season 18 was up 19% in the P18-49 rating (0.564 vs. 0.472) and up 7% in P18-49 share (2.43 vs. 2.27). It ranked among the top three cable series of 2026 to date in the key adults 18-49 demo.
Emmy momentum and host recognition
RuPaul's Drag Race received 11 Emmy nominations this awards season, including RuPaul's record-extending 11th consecutive nomination for outstanding host of a reality or reality competition program. The series has won best reality competition program five times, a streak that ended when The Traitors began its dominance in 2024. Judge and executive producer Michelle Visage said reclaiming that Emmy would amount to "a statement without saying it's a statement," citing the current political climate.
All Stars format and winners
Paramount+ renewed All Stars for season 12 after the return of its Tournament of All Stars format, which brought returning queens together to compete for a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame. Crystal Methyd, named the first person of Mexican descent to win the mainstay series, won the most recent All Stars run, which wrapped on Paramount+ in July. The season featured the franchise's first all-disco Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown and guest judges Kate Hudson, La Toya Jackson and Reneé Rapp, among others. Myki Meeks was crowned America's Next Drag Superstar on season 18 of the flagship.

Follow-up signals
Emmy voting is underway ahead of this year's ceremony, with RuPaul's Drag Race competing to reclaim the best reality competition series award it last held before The Traitors began winning in 2024.
