Avatar: Seven Havens sets October premiere on Paramount+
Paramount+ announced the release date for its fantasy animated series Avatar: Seven Havens at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 on Thursday, July 23, 2026. The show will be released globally on the streamer on October 9, 2026, with a first-look teaser unveiled during the panel. Avatar: Seven Havens is the third original series in the Avatar franchise, following the original Avatar: The Last Airbender, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008, and the sequel series The Legend of Korra, which ran for four seasons beginning in 2012. The series is created by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, the original creators of the franchise.
Storyline, cast and format
Avatar: Seven Havens follows a young Earthbender named Pavi, who discovers she is the new Avatar in a world that views the Avatar as a destroyer of humanity, prompting her to journey with her separated twin sister to bring reparation to society. The series consists of 26 episodes split into two 13-episode "books," all of which will premiere on the streamer at once. The voice cast includes Akshay Khanna, Major Curda, Sakina Jaffrey, Darren Barnet, Dianne Doan and Dee Bradley Baker. The franchise has previously expanded beyond animation, with a live-action film released in 2010 and a 2024 live-action remake on Netflix, and the new series is set after the events of The Legend of Korra.
The Morning Show confirmed to end with season five
Apple TV+ has confirmed that its drama series The Morning Show will conclude with its upcoming fifth season, which is currently in production and scheduled to launch on Apple TV in 2027. The series, which stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, explores the behind-the-scenes world of a breakfast television programme and was one of Apple TV+'s inaugural original productions, having received a two-season, straight-to-series order in 2017 ahead of the streaming service's 2019 launch. The show was originally inspired by Brian Stelter's 2013 book Top of the Morning and was rewritten after NBC fired Today show host Matt Lauer to focus on a #MeToo case behind the scenes at the fictional UBA network.
Cast reactions and upcoming additions
Witherspoon, who is also an executive producer, said in a statement that the past nine years producing and acting in The Morning Show had been "the honour of a lifetime" and that telling the story of the newsroom had been "the creative privilege of my career." Aniston, also an executive producer, thanked Apple for supporting the show's vision from the beginning and said the cast felt "so fortunate to craft the conclusion with intentionality." Season five features newly added cast members Jeff Daniels, Jesse Williams, Sean Hayes, Lizzy Caplan and Renee Rapp, joining the off-screen drama that has tackled the storming of the Capitol, the Los Angeles wildfires, the Covid pandemic and the Las Vegas mass shooting across earlier seasons.

Paramount+ will release Avatar: Seven Havens globally on October 9, 2026, with all 26 episodes available at once. The Morning Show's fifth and final season is expected to debut on Apple TV+ in 2027 as production continues.
