The console bundle and its design
Sony has announced a PS5 Digital Edition – Marvel's Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle to coincide with the launch of Marvel's Wolverine. The console carries Wolverine's signature yellow finish with exposed claw marks that slash through the shell, and the matching DualSense wireless controller carries aggressive claw slashes inspired by the character.
Design credits and studio response
The console and controller artwork was created by Scottish graphic artist Jock, who also handled the game's key art. Insomniac Games Game Director Marcus Smith said Jock's illustrative works capture the kinetic and violent nature of Wolverine, whose primary interaction with the world is through unbreakable adamantium claws.
Separate accessories for existing owners
For players who already own a PS5 slim or PS5 Pro, Sony will sell PS5 and PS5 Pro Console Covers in the Marvel's Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition design through direct.playstation.com and select retailers. An additional PS5 Pro Console Covers – Marvel's Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition will be sold with a metallic finish and claw-slashed detailing, paired with a complementary DualSense controller in the same Adamantium finish.
Pricing across regions
Sony set regional recommended prices for the bundle and accessories. The PS5 Digital Edition Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle is listed at $649.99 in the US, £569.99 in the UK and €649.99 in Europe, with the Battle Yellow and Adamantium DualSense controllers priced at $84.99 and the Battle Yellow and Adamantium console covers at $74.99 across the listed regions.
Pre-order window and game release
Pre-orders for the Marvel's Wolverine PS5 Digital Edition bundle, console covers and controllers open on Wednesday, August 19 at 10 AM local time, with free delivery offered on direct PlayStation orders. Marvel's Wolverine itself is scheduled to release on September 15 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
