According to Spotify charts circulated in reporting dated July 26, KATSEYE's new single "Animal" entered the "Daily Top Songs USA" chart at No. 4 for July 24, the highest position the group has reached on that ranking. The track surpassed the peaks of earlier singles "Internet Girl" (No. 6) and "PINKY UP" (No. 10). On the "Daily Top Songs Global" chart, "Animal" debuted at No. 9 with more than 3.3 million streams and charted across 47 countries and regions, including the United States (No. 4), Canada (No. 7), and the United Kingdom (No. 15). Music video and Demi Moore cameo drive "Animal" momentum

The video features a cameo by actor Demi Moore, who plays a character that helps the group members transition between their public pop-star image and a freer off-stage identity. U.S. trade publication Billboard wrote that "Demi Moore brought out the 'Animal' sleeping inside KATSEYE," while People described the cinematic visual as bringing the "mesmerizing pop track" to life.
