World No. 1 Ahn Se-young of Samsung Life Insurance swept world No. 3 Akane Yamaguchi of Japan 2-0 (21-13, 21-15) in the women's singles semifinals at the 2026 Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour China Masters (Super 750), held at Shenzhen Arena on Sept. 5, 2026. The match lasted 43 minutes. In the first game, Ahn broke a 6-6 tie with five straight points and never trailed again.
