South Korea's three major telecom carriers — SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus — began selling the second-generation Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, developed through a partnership between Meta and global eyewear company EssilorLuxottica. Shinsegae I&C joined as a parallel distributor, supplying both the Ray-Ban Meta 2nd Generation and the Oakley Meta across online and offline retail networks, including E-Mart's Electro Mart locations, Lotte Hi-Mart, SSG.com, and the carriers' own direct shops.

Carrier pricing and rollout plans

All three carriers offer the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer at ₩690,000, with a polarized lens version at ₩740,000, and the Oakley Meta Vanguard at ₩900,000. SK Telecom launched at its T Direct Shop and six T World stores in Seoul and Gyeonggi, offering installment discounts for select plan subscribers. KT began sales through KT Direct Shop and will expand to agency outlets nationwide from August 3, running experience zones at 11 stores. LG Uplus applies its "Mania Device" benefits program with a 36-month installment, bringing the effective monthly cost to ₩3,857 — a discount of up to roughly 80 percent.

Device features and language support

The Ray-Ban Meta includes a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, open-ear speakers, five microphones and 3K video recording. Battery life reaches up to 8 hours per charge, extending to 48 hours with the charging case. Meta AI now supports Korean in its real-time translation, joining English, French, Italian, Spanish and German. Users activate features through "Hey Meta" voice commands for queries, photo capture, music and calls.
