Edit the picture you have, not a copy hidden in the cloud
Open a JPG, PNG, WebP, PSD, or PSB file and keep the working image visible beside the controls. Start with the change that determines the composition: crop unwanted edges, resize the whole canvas, rotate or mirror a selected layer, or correct brightness, contrast, saturation, and blur on the photo. The editor keeps text, shapes, imported overlays, and freehand marks as separate selectable layers until you deliberately crop the composition or export the final image.
A Photoshop file opens from its saved composite preview as one flattened image. This makes the visible artwork available for quick conversion and editing, but it does not pretend that unsupported Photoshop layers, masks, type settings, smart objects, or effects remain editable. If no compatible composite is present, the page asks for a compatibility-enabled copy instead of showing a blank or misleading result.
A workspace organized around the next decision
The canvas remains the visual center of the page. Layer and drawing controls answer “what should be added or selected?” Transform controls answer “where and at what size should it appear?” Photo adjustments answer “how should the base image look?” History and recovery controls answer “how can I compare or return?” This grouping keeps advanced choices available without placing every setting in the first view. On a narrow screen, controls move above the canvas so every action remains reachable by touch.
Use Add text for editable captions, rectangles and circles for callouts, and an image overlay for a badge, logo, reaction, or comparison. Select a layer on the canvas or in the list, then move it forward or backward, rotate, mirror, or remove it. Drawing mode creates freehand marks with an adjustable color and width. Turn drawing off to select objects again. Crop deliberately flattens the visible composition; the message explains that effect, and Undo can restore the editable layers while the history is still available.
Private recovery, export choices, and practical limits
Editing happens in the current browser tab. The file, layer document, previews, and export are not uploaded to NexaCurrent. Session recovery is off by default. If you enable it, the page saves only the current edit document in this tab’s session storage and provides visible Restore and Delete actions. The saved edit disappears when the browser session ends or when you delete it. Large documents that exceed the recovery allowance remain editable and exportable without being silently stored.
PNG is a reliable choice for transparency and sharp interface artwork. JPEG is usually smaller for photographs but replaces transparency and uses lossy compression. WebP can preserve transparency and offer compact output when the destination supports it. Every export is flattened because ordinary image formats do not preserve this editor’s object model. Keep the source file and inspect the download before publishing. Files are limited to 30 MB and 40 megapixels, while very large sources are scaled to a practical editing canvas to protect browser memory. This is a focused everyday editor, not a replacement for color-managed, forensic, medical, archival, or production print software.
