Adobe disclosed that its AI-first annual recurring revenue exceeded $650 million, growing more than 150% year-over-year in the third fiscal quarter ended August 28, 2026. The figure represents a disclosed size for what had previously been an undisclosed segment, though it remains a small layer of the company's $27.50 billion total ARR, accounting for roughly 2.36% at the stated floor. The growth was driven by adoption of generative and agentic AI capabilities across the company's creative, productivity, and customer experience platforms.
Capital Return Dominated Quarterly Cash Allocation
Adobe spent $2.232 billion on share repurchases during the quarter, absorbing 88.5% of its $2.523 billion in operating cash flow. The company also repaid $250 million of debt. Adobe repurchased approximately 9.5 million shares at an implied average of roughly $235 per share. The subtraction of repurchases from operating cash leaves $291 million, though that residual is not equivalent to free cash flow because operating cash precedes capital expenditure, investment purchases and sales, and other financing movements.
Per-Share Results Outpaced Aggregate Profit Growth
The buyback-driven share-count reduction amplified per-share metrics. Diluted EPS rose 10.5% while GAAP net income increased only 3.1%, with the diluted share count falling 6.8%. GAAP diluted earnings per share reached $4.62 for the quarter, while non-GAAP EPS was $6.13. GAAP operating income was $2.35 billion and non-GAAP operating income reached $2.97 billion.

Quarterly revenue reached a record $6.76 billion, up 13% year-over-year or 12% in constant currency. Adobe surpassed one billion monthly active users across its creativity and productivity products, a milestone characterized as defining for the company. The company raised its full-year fiscal 2026 targets, now expecting revenue of $26.576 billion to $26.626 billion, total Adobe ending ARR growth of 10.2%, GAAP EPS of $18.12 to $18.17, and non-GAAP EPS of $24.45 to $24.50.
Backlog and Remaining Performance Obligations
Remaining Performance Obligations ended the period at $22.16 billion, representing contracted future revenue that provides visibility into upcoming quarters. Customer Group subscription revenue increased 14% to $6.56 billion, while Business Professionals & Consumers subscription revenue increased 16% to $1.91 billion, and Creative & Marketing Professionals subscription revenue increased 13% to $4.65 billion.
