Apple Opens $250 Million Siri AI Settlement Claims Portal for Eligible iPhone Buyers

The official claims portal for Apple's $250 million class-action settlement over delayed Siri Apple Intelligence features went live on September 21, 2026. Apple has agreed to pay the amount to resolve litigation brought by U.S. consumers who alleged the company misled buyers with promotional claims about personalized Siri capabilities that were never delivered on supported devices. Apple has denied any wrongdoing in the settlement. U.S. residents who purchased specific flagship iPhones between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, can submit claims, with a filing deadline of December 21, 2026.

Eligible Devices and Purchaser Requirements

To qualify, claimants must have bought an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, or iPhone 16 Pro Max new for personal or business use within the U.S. Resale purchases are excluded. Applicants must also confirm that they bought the device expecting the advertised Siri Apple Intelligence features that were missing at launch. Non-U.S. purchasers, including Canadian residents, are not eligible under this settlement.

Expected Payouts Per Device

The base payout is expected to start at around $25 per qualifying device, with a hard cap of $95 depending on the total number of valid claims and settlement administration costs. Notice, administration, taxes, attorneys' fees, litigation costs, and any service awards for the class representative will be deducted from the $250 million total before distribution. The actual individual payment could fall below $25 if valid claims exceed projections.

Background on the Siri AI Dispute

The lawsuit stemmed from Apple's 2024 promotional campaign for Apple Intelligence, including a September 2024 ad featuring Bella Ramsey that demonstrated Siri pulling personal context from Mail and Messages. Apple pulled the ad in May 2025 after it became clear the promised features would not ship on time. iOS 27, which includes the upgraded Siri AI, was released on September 14, 2026, later than originally promised. Eligible customers are receiving official emails with Claim IDs and PINs, and the settlement website allows claims submissions even without a notice email.
