Jio BlackRock International AMC (IFSC), a wholly owned subsidiary of JioBlackRock Asset Management, announced the launch of the JioBlackRock Advantage World Equity Fund (IFSC). The open-ended feeder fund is the company’s first GIFT City offering and is available to eligible investors.

The scheme operates under International Financial Services Center Authority fund-management regulations and invests primarily in BlackRock’s Advantage World Equity Fund, a globally diversified active equity strategy.

Investors gain developed-market exposure

The underlying strategy has exposure to companies, sectors, and long-term growth themes across the United States, Europe, and Japan. It is managed by BlackRock’s Systematic Active Equity team, which the fund materials said had more than four decades of experience in systematic investing.

The approach combines human expertise with systematic research, advanced data analytics, machine learning, alternative data, and disciplined risk management. The reported investment themes include artificial intelligence, semiconductors, energy infrastructure, biotechnology, and industrial transformation.

Minimum investments set at US$5,000

The scheme requires a minimum initial investment of US$5,000 and a minimum additional investment of US$1,000. It is distributed through GIFT City to eligible investors seeking developed-market equity exposure alongside their Indian holdings.

A broader channel for global products

JioBlackRock described the launch as an effort to broaden Indian investors’ access to international markets through GIFT City. Sid Swaminathan, managing director and chief executive officer of JioBlackRock Asset Management, said the GIFT City funds marked a significant step in expanding access to global investing opportunities.
