South Korea's National Pension Service increased its holdings in The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD) by 2.5% during the second quarter, purchasing an additional 53,737 shares to bring its stake to 2,243,280 shares. The position was valued at $791,160,000 at the end of the most recent quarter, representing 0.22% of the home improvement retailer. The disclosure appeared in the pension fund's most recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Smaller funds build new or expanded stakes

Several other institutional investors adjusted their positions in Home Depot during recent quarters. Parvin Asset Management LLC lifted its stake by 110.0% in the third quarter, ending with 63 shares valued at $26,000. Zeit Capital LLC, Advocate Investing Services LLC, Cache Advisors LLC and Imprint Wealth LLC each opened new positions valued at roughly $25,000 to $34,000. Institutional investors collectively own 70.86% of the company's stock.
