Adjusted profit per share was $1.02, compared with estimates of 98 cents. For fiscal 2027, the company guided to revenue of $14.10 billion to $14.20 billion, above the $13.79 billion consensus, and adjusted earnings per share of $4.16 to $4.19, above the $4.11 estimate.

Console acquisition adds agentic AI to Cortex

The company announced the acquisition of Console, an AI-native platform designed to enable AI-driven analysis and action across enterprise operations. Palo Alto Networks said Console will strengthen Cortex by allowing security teams to investigate, prioritize, and remediate threats at machine speed, and that the deal reflects growing cybersecurity demand as enterprises deploy AI at scale.

Customer use cases and executive framing

Chief Executive Nikesh Arora said the acquisition will let customers "build agentic workflows in natural language" that can automatically flag and remediate issues. The company framed the move as a response to rising alert volumes, increasingly automated attacks, and pressure to shorten detection and containment timelines.

Strategic context

Palo Alto Networks positioned the deal as part of a broader push to bring autonomous, AI-driven security operations into the Cortex platform, betting that advances in artificial intelligence are making cybersecurity a higher priority for corporate technology leaders.

The next verifiable milestone is Palo Alto Networks' fiscal 2027 reporting cadence, with quarterly results and updated Cortex product disclosures expected as the Console integration progresses.
