Cardfight!! Vanguard Announces Veil Lift Anime and Ghost Meets Gal Season 2

Cardfight!! Vanguard unveils two anime projects

The Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise announced on Wednesday that it plans a new television anime, Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift, alongside a second season of the Ghost Meets Gal! mini-anime. The announcement was made through the franchise’s official X account during Bushiroad’s TCG Strategy Presentation 2026 Autumn, according to Anime.com News.

The material supplied for the central story provides title and confirmation details, while the lead report itself was inaccessible beyond its captcha page. The broader announcement therefore supports only the projects’ stated status: Veil Lift is planned for 2027, while Ghost Meets Gal! Season 2 has been confirmed as in production. No release date, cast or platform for the second season has been announced.

Veil Lift is planned for a 2027 television release

The new series is titled Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift. Contextual reporting says it is intended to mark the franchise’s 15th anniversary and that additional information is expected on December 7. Those details come from a context report rather than the designated lead source, so the confirmed central development remains the announcement of the planned 2027 television anime.

Ghost Meets Gal Season 2 enters production

The official account confirmed that a second season of Ghost Meets Gal! is in production. The announcement included comments from original creator Kaeru DX and director Kenshiro Morii, with Morii saying the staff were working on the new season and that new characters would appear.

AtoriE animated the first season, which centers on two girls pursuing dreams of becoming idols and premiered in 2026. The first season’s episodes are available through the official Cardfight!! Vanguard YouTube channel. A release window, cast and streaming platforms for Season 2 were not announced; the official account said more details would follow.
