Date and platforms locked in for Fangtopia

Publisher Secret Mode and developer Absolutely Games have set an October 26 launch for cozy tile-puzzle game Fangtopia, bringing the title to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Stove. Absolutely Games chief executive James Brooksby confirmed the PlayStation 5 date in a PlayStation Blog post on September 2, framing the release as a Halloween-season arrival. Multiple outlets, including Gematsu, VGChartz, Loot Level Chill, and Techgenyz, confirmed the same multi-platform date. The game's Steam page was activated ahead of the announcement, and the PlayStation Store listing is already accepting wishlists.
How the spooky kingdom builder plays
Fangtopia is built around a hex-grid tile placement system with no time pressure and a full undo option, so players can arrange landscapes, towns, mountains, forests, fields, and railroads at their own pace. Completed placements unlock landmarks such as volcanoes, windmills, and carousels, each tied to objectives that reward new tiles and expand the player's deck. Sea tiles open portals that summon creatures like werewolves, gremlins, and banshees, with creatures preferring specific terrain types and adding more characters to a Stickerbook collection. A second mode, Ghoulish Mode, adds rivers, a larger tile stack, and tile-swapping mechanics, and the game supports global leaderboards for score chasing. Brooksby noted in the PlayStation Blog that the title was designed for both big-screen PlayStation 5 play and handheld PlayStation Portal sessions.
What to watch before launch
Pricing, pre-order timing, and any platform-specific editions have not been detailed in the current announcements. A release date trailer accompanies the announcement, and Switch 2 and PC builds are confirmed alongside the PS5 version.
Other PS5 releases noted this week
Separately, the 2.5D action roguelite Port of Jumanah, from publisher Red Dunes Games and developer Agate, is scheduled for September 7 on PS5 and PC. Elsewhere, Hamster's Console Archives The Conveni 2 is set for September 3 on PS5 and Switch 2.
