PLAVE’s fifth mini album, “HYPERDRIVE,” debuted at No. 31 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, according to Billboard’s chart update reported on October 27, 2026. The virtual K-pop group’s first Top 40 album was also only its second appearance on the chart overall, following “Caligo Pt.2,” which debuted at No. 145 in spring 2026.
The album was released on October 13, with its official U.S. physical release following on October 16. Forbes reported on October 28 that the release marked PLAVE’s biggest first-week sales performance to date.
PLAVE tops three Billboard charts
“HYPERDRIVE” also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, making it the best-selling album of the week in the United States across all genres. It likewise opened at No. 1 on the World Albums chart, the group’s first No. 1 on either chart. The Top 200 debut brought PLAVE three No. 1 chart positions in the same week when the Emerging Artists result is included.
PLAVE also re-entered Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart at a new peak of No. 1 and returned to the Artist 100 at a new high of No. 25. Its second Artist 100 appearance was non-consecutive.
First-week physical sales reach 1.32 million
South Korea’s Hanteo Chart counted 1,322,973 physical copies sold worldwide during “HYPERDRIVE’s” first week after its October 13 release, according to Forbes. That exceeded the group’s previous first-week high of 1,255,801 copies for “Caligo Pt.2” earlier in 2026.
HitsDailyDouble projected nearly 20,000 U.S. units for the album, mostly from physical sales with a smaller contribution from streaming-equivalent units, Forbes reported.
Every album track reached Billboard’s global charts
All five tracks from “HYPERDRIVE” appeared on Billboard’s global charts. The title track, “Star Trace,” led the group’s placements, ranking No. 32 on Global Excl. U.S. and No. 84 on the Global 200.
“GGUN” reached No. 55 and No. 128 on the two charts, respectively. “Sweet Rain” placed at No. 57 on Global Excl. U.S. and No. 130 on the Global 200, while “The Answer Is Yes” ranked No. 66 and No. 170. “Rewind” reached No. 105 on Global Excl. U.S.
The group was also carrying the album on its KEEP IT MANIC World Tour, which included an upcoming U.S. show in California, according to Forbes.
