Katseye's new mini-album "Wild" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated Aug. 29, marking the group's first album to reach the top of the ranking. The five-track set, led by the singles "Pinky Up" and "Hootie Frutti," was first projected to land at the summit and later confirmed as the chart's leader, with members reacting that the result was "so surreal."

"Wild" bowed with 170,000 equivalent album units in its first week, the group's biggest week by that metric and by pure album sales, with 145,000 copies sold. Phoebe Bridgers's "Lost Weekend" debuted at No. 2 with 118,000 equivalent album units, her first solo project to reach the Billboard 200 top 10 and her best week ever by units. Last week's leader, Stray Kids' "This & That," fell to No. 3, followed by Olivia Rodrigo's "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love" at No. 4 and Ella Langley's "Dandelion" at No. 5, with Morgan Wallen, Noah Kahan, Ariana Grande, Drake and Olivia Dean rounding out the top 10.

"Wild" extends a steady commercial climb for the group. Their 2025 release "Beautiful Chaos" previously peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, while their 2024 debut "SIS (Soft Is Strong)" peaked at No. 98. The latest album is the group's first No. 1 on the ranking.
Personnel questions during the chart run
The No. 1 arrival comes as members Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza take separate hiatuses. Vulture reported that Bannerman's status in the group remains unknown and that Laforteza's mental-health break will continue until she is reassessed in September. Laforteza's mother, Carla Guevara-Laforteza, told Vogue Philippines that her daughter "goes to Disneyland every day; she's baking, she's painting," and added, "I'll be here to catch you when you fall."
