Drexel exhibition added in Philadelphia

Penn State men's basketball will visit Drexel for a preseason exhibition at the Daskalakis Athletic Center in Philadelphia on Oct. 26, the program announced. The Daily Collegian reported the addition, noting that the matchup will not officially count on either team's record.

St. Bonaventure exhibition set for Buffalo

The Drexel game is Penn State's second preseason exhibition of the 2026-27 buildup. The Nittany Lions are previously scheduled to face St. Bonaventure on Oct. 17 at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, the home of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. Onward State detailed the back-to-back road preseason slate.

Roster turnover shapes the preseason plan

Onward State noted that 10 new additions have joined the Penn State men's basketball roster heading into the new season. The exhibitions offer the program's first extended look at the revamped group under coach Mike Rhoades, whose team went 12-20 in 2025-26.

Regular-season opener on the horizon

Penn State is set to open its 2026-27 regular season against Canisius on Nov. 2 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, with tip time to be announced.
