What is included in the 78-card reference
The reference contains 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards divided among Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Search works across card names, deck sections, suits, and editorial keywords. A card meaning changes with the question and spread position. Start with the visible scene, then identify whether the card belongs to a broad Major Arcana pattern or a practical Minor Arcana domain. In the Minor Arcana, rank supplies a stage such as opening, friction, assessment, completion, learning, pursuit, inward command, or stewardship. Suit supplies the field: action for Wands, feeling for Cups, thought for Swords, and material conditions for Pentacles. Image provenance and responsible reuse
The card faces are scans of Pamela Colman Smith’s 1909 artwork from the public-domain Rider–Waite–Smith deck, obtained through the MIT-licensed tarot-json project and traceable to the historic scan set it documents. The custom NexaCurrent card back is original AI-assisted artwork in the site’s coral, pale-blue, ink, and ivory palette. The reference credits Smith by name because her visual authorship is central to modern tarot. Meanings are offered for cultural study and reflection.
