A24’s “You Can See Everything,” a documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, is projected to earn $19 million to $20 million at the North American box office during its second weekend, according to a Saturday-morning projection reported by ScreenRant from Deadline data.
The documentary opened with $15.6 million from 855 theaters and ranked second behind “Street Fighter.” A24 expanded it to 1,800 domestic theaters, with the film playing on 2,655 screens for its second weekend.
Projected expansion sets an A24 benchmark
The projected weekend total would represent a minimum increase of 21.8% from the documentary’s opening weekend. If the estimate holds, “You Can See Everything” would set the best second-weekend performance among A24 films that opened in a wide release at more than 600 screens.
ScreenRant said the projection would place the film between No. 65 and No. 52 on Box Office Mojo’s chart of the smallest second-weekend declines for films opening wide at 600 or more theaters. The publication noted that A24 often expands films gradually, making a limited-release comparison inappropriate for this projection.
The film follows Holmes before her prison sentence
Co-directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, “You Can See Everything” follows filmmakers spending time with Holmes and her partner in the month before Holmes was due to begin her prison sentence. A24 released the film through its own North American distribution.
The documentary’s opening generated broad attention beyond the release itself, although the evidence reviewed for this report provides no confirmed final second-weekend total. International release dates are separate from the North American weekend projection and were not finalized in the lead report.
