Shakira and Burna Boy's "Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)" retained the No. 1 position on both of Billboard's flagship worldwide rankings in data tracked for the week of Aug. 7–13. According to Luminate figures cited by Billboard, the track drew 44.1 million streams worldwide (down 10% week-over-week) and 6,000 sales (down 9%), extending its run atop the Global 200 to a fifth week and its reign on the Global Excl. U.S. chart to an eighth frame. The song first led the Global 200 in mid-July and first topped the Global Excl. U.S. chart at the start of July.

Sustained U.S. radio momentum

While global streams eased, the track kept expanding on U.S. radio, rising to No. 3 as the Greatest Gainer on the Rhythmic Airplay chart. It had previously led Latin Airplay for a week in late July, underscoring a multi-format crossover that has continued even as post-tournament attention has waned. The World Cup's signature match — Spain's victory over Argentina on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium — took place nearly a month before the latest tracking period.

Shifts in the Global 200's upper tier

Behind "Dai Dai," the upper portion of the Global 200 reshuffled. Ariana Grande's "Hate That I Made You Love Me" fell to No. 2 after three nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 beginning in June; Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" rebounded from No. 4 to No. 3 after previously reaching No. 2; and Grande's "Petal" slipped to No. 4 from a No. 2 debut. Tame Impala's "Loser" vaulted 51–5, up 72% to 30 million streams and 27% to 2,000 in sales worldwide, becoming the band's second Global 200 top 10 after "Dracula" with JENNIE, which peaked at No. 2 in April. Both songs originate from Tame Impala's 2025 album Deadbeat.

A Spider-Man-driven boost across formats

The three biggest gainers on the Global 200 all drew lift from the Spider-Man franchise in sync with the new film. Steve Lacy's "Oh Yeah?" jumped 158–23, with worldwide streams of 20.5 million, up 95%. Post Malone and Swae Lee's 2018 track "Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)" rose 53–29, up 18% to 22.8 million streams. "Loser" also climbed to No. 6 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, up 79% to 20 million streams outside the U.S., a week after the film had cleared $2 billion globally over its first three weekends of release.

Composition of the Global Excl. U.S. top five

On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, "Hate That I Made You Love Me" repeated at No. 2 after spending its first two weeks on the chart at No. 1 in June; "Petal" held at No. 3 in its second week; Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat," featuring Nicki Minaj, lifted 5–4 after two weeks at No. 1 in May; and BTS's "SWIM" slid 4–5 after eight weeks at No. 1 since April. The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs using a weighted formula of official streams and download sales drawn from more than 200 territories, as compiled by Luminate.

Next milestone

The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts dated Aug. 22, 2026, were scheduled to update on Billboard.com the following Tuesday, providing the next look at whether "Dai Dai" can extend its lead into a sixth week at No. 1 globally and whether Spider-Man-synced titles continue to climb.
