According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, writing on X on July 28, 2026, the latest Ramayana trailer and the theatrical Avengers: Doomsday trailer will play before Spider-Man: Brand New Day from its July 30 theatrical release in India. Adarsh framed the move as an "Xclusiv update," noting that advance bookings for the Marvel film signal one of the biggest openings ever in India for a Hollywood release. The Ramayana trailer had originally been slated for a July 24 social-media debut before the makers abruptly postponed it without giving a new date.
Producer Namit Malhotra teases imminent Ramayana trailer launch
Speaking to The Climax India at San Diego Comic-Con, producer Namit Malhotra said the Ramayana trailer would arrive "very, very soon," adding "It could be any day." He confirmed that Sony Pictures Entertainment had been announced as the film's global distributor shortly before the panel, a development he said put the trailers "hot on the heels." Reports cited by The Times of India indicate the trailer is expected to debut online around July 29, 2026, and to run roughly 4 minutes 15 seconds in cinemas; the accompanying Avengers: Doomsday trailer is reported at approximately 2 minutes 28 seconds.

The Ramayana trailer played to Comic-Con attendees, delivering the first look at Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, alongside Ravie Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh and Arun Govil. Despite being intended exclusively for the panel audience, leaked clips and images from the screening circulated online after the presentation.
Paramount releases first Children of Blood and Bone trailer
Paramount Pictures released the debut trailer for Children of Blood and Bone, an adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi's 2018 novel set in the fantastical land of Orïsha. The trailer follows Thuso Mbedu as Zélie, a young woman separated from her mother and training to reclaim her people's stolen magic, and culminates in Zélie using magic to manifest a vine giant against attackers. The cast also includes Damson Idris, Cynthia Erivo, Idris Elba, Amandla Stenberg and Tosin Cole, with Lashana Lynch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Regina King and Viola Davis in additional roles.
Director, producers and author controversy for Children of Blood and Bone
Gina Prince-Bythewood directs from a screenplay she co-wrote with Adeyemi; the film is produced by Wyck Godfrey, John Fischer, Isaac Klausner, Karen Rosenfelt and Matt Jackson. Adeyemi has publicly distanced herself from the project, stating she will not watch or promote the film, without elaborating further. Children of Blood and Bone is scheduled for theatrical release on January 15, 2027.
